Greg and Shelley's Background

Greg & Shelley met at Biola University on May 6th, 1977 and were married on March 1st, 1980 at First Evangelical Free Church in Southern California.

We began our lives in California after both graduating from Biola University with Business Administration degrees. Shelley was employed in Event Sales and marketing with Knott’s Berry Farm and Greg began what became a 20 year career with The ServiceMaster Corporation. We moved from California to Phoenix, Arizona then on to Canada, where we lived in Toronto, Ontario, where Shannon and Ryan were born. From Toronto, we trekked across Canada to the west coast and lived in Vancouver, British Columbia for 12 years. There we had 3 children, Jason, Carson and Heather. We eventually we returned to the USA in 2000 and settled in Orange County, California.

Greg's Background

Greg is the Director of Strategic Alliances & Corporate Relations at Biola University where he is responsible to create global and local alliances in academic, operational and financial arena's as he shares the vision for the future of the University with external partners. Greg earned his B.S. in Business Administration at Biola University.

Greg served in various senior management capacities for 20 years with The ServiceMaster Company, an $8 billion Fortune 500 firm focused in the health care management and franchising fields. After his term at ServiceMaster, he held various senior leadership positions in the non-profit sector serving as Vice President of Arrow Leadership, a program that develops the leadership skills of young ministry leaders and then as the Director of Leadership Development for Christian Management Association where he was responsible for senior executive leadership training programs.

Greg has served as a board member of a number of non-profit organizations, including BBL Forum, Youth For Christ, and Outreach Canada, a ministry of Overseas Crusades. He also specializes in personal and organizational development as a Life Coach and organizational leadership consultant. He enjoys writing, and his work has been published by Christianity Today, Pastor Rick Warren’s Ministry Toolbox, and Christian Management Association.

Shelley's Background

Shelley works at Saddleback Church, one of the fastest growing & largest churches in the United States. She serves as Manager of Campaign Development & Communications and is responsible for creating the ’40 Days’ training materials, used by over 25,000 churches around the world to lead spiritual growth campaigns. Shelley co-authored ‘Character Makeover’ published by Zondervan for winter 2007 release. Shelley earned her Business and Bible degrees from Biola University and has focused on conducting outreach efforts in her neighborhood and creating proactive learning experiences for their two girls and three boys, ages 14 to 21 who keep the family aware of what's really important in life.
